I created the site, so I see that I have admin rights. However, when my first member accepted the invite and logged in, she was setup with admin rights too (it was actually my daughter and she used the same pc and browser session). I should be the only admin with super rights. I don't want my members inviting other members, upgrading or possibly deleting the site! Help!

Hi Julissa, by default you are the only one with admin rights. Other members that you invite will not be able to invite others, upgrade or delete the site. Are you sure you logged out before your daughter logged in?

Thanks!

Hi Kiley,

I was very sure of logging out and then having my daughter log in.

My daughter logged in and she WAS able to invite a new member (the invite email was received by the "test invitee"). And my daughter is able to see the upgrade/delete site page...obviously, don't want to test if she can though!

Something is wrong with the way her membership/id was created. I found where the "test invitee/member" she invited can be deleted and where my daughter's membership/id can be cancelled. Should I go ahead and do that, and then try inviting my daughter from scratch, hoping she isn't setup with admin rights again?

Thanks,
Julissa

Hi Julissa, that definitely shouldn't be happening. Can you please send me the email address used for her account so that I can have our technical team look into to it?

Please send to support@familydetails.com

Thanks!

What is the status of this? It's been almost a week. I'm waiting to invite other members to our site, but I can't until I know this issue has been fixed and won't happen again.

Update...I cancelled the membership for my daughter's email and the "test invitee/member" she was able to invite. I am the only membership on our website now, yet the membership counter reads "3 of unlimited". I would have thought that the membership count would go back to 1 after deleting those two memberships???

I am afraid to setup my daughter again because one, the above security issue has not been solved, and two, because my membership count may go up to 4!

It's been over a week, and I am getting no answers on this. I realize the site is free, but I am close to giving up and taking my business elsewhere. Too many issues and our site is not even up and running for the entire family. Would hate to imagine how many issues they would encounter!

Hi Julissa,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner on this. I thought I had sent you an update in email - not sure what happened.

Anyway, the member invitation issue you mentioned has been fixed. Only you or other site admins can invite new members.

As far as the membership count, our team is still looking into that, but I have removed the limit for your website, so you don't need to worry about exceeding the 20 limit for free accounts.

Thanks for your patience!

Hi Kiley, thanks for removing the limit for free accounts for our website. However, when I tried to invite my daughter again (with the same email address that I emailed to your support email address), I received the following error:

A critical error has occurred. Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK_UserPortals'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.UserPortals'. The statement has been terminated.

Sounds like it's not accepting duplicate emails...even though I cancelled her prior membership??? Please look into, and let me know how to proceed. Thanks.
